Business Solutions is a student-driven initiative that seeks to promote the Business Case culture at the Nanyang Business School and provide students with the experience of analyzing and providing solutions to real-world business problems. Business Solutions is enthusiastically supported by the faculty of the Nanyang Business School, and by the Asian Business Case Centre, NBS very own research centre which has the largest repository of Asian Cases in the world.

 

Founded in February 2005, some of the initiatives pioneered by the founding members of Business Solutions include the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week, consultancy projects and the NBS Case Competition. Building upon the resounding success of the NBS Case Competitions, Business Solutions formed and sent teams of students to compete amongst the world's best in international competitions in USA, Canada, Thailand and India. Of which, two of the teams clinched the top prizes at the UNCC (Undergraduate National Case Competition) organised by the Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business in January 2008 and the International Business Strategy Challenge organised by the Shailesh J Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay in October 2007.

 

In October 2007, Business Solutions rose to the challenge to organize the first inaugural undergraduate international case competition, the Asian Business Case Competition @ Nanyang 2007 in Singapore. Following the success in 2007, Business Solutions has pledged to make every subsequent ABCC@Nanyang just a blast, if not better, for all our overseas friends.

Business Solutions will continue to seek new ways to enrich the campus lives of the student population that is in line with our vision and mission. The establishment of Business Solutions has enabled fellow members to hone their analytical and presentation skills, and will continue to do so.
